We Are Social Scientists!
Teachers are not just educators—they are the catalysts of change. In our “We Are Social Scientists!” program, teachers lead research that directly shapes classroom practices. By testing new ideas, they create innovative solutions that meet the needs of their students.
Laura, a science teacher, conducted the first project. She compared teacher-led versus student-led review sessions, discovering that student-led approaches increased engagement and participation. Her findings inspired other teachers to explore their own classroom innovations, promoting a culture of experimentation.
The initiative follows a simple four-step process: identify challenges, design interventions, analyze data, and share results. This framework ensures that every change is evidence-based and rooted in real classroom experiences.
The success in Colombia is just the beginning. As more teachers engage, we hope this program will be adopted across all schools, driving meaningful improvements in education that directly address local challenges.
